Pina is a feature-length dance film in 3D with the ensemble of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, featuring the unique and inspiring art of the great German choreographer, who died in the summer of 2009. Pina is a film for Pina Bausch by Wim Wenders. Mary created a dynamic and vibrant outreach campaign targeted to dance enthusiasts, performing arts centers, dance retailers, dance studios, schools and universities, dance organizations, and dance media.
Following a macro to micro strategy, Mary began by reaching out to larger and nationally recognized dance groups, and then followed up with a detailed city by city outreach program, devoted to local dance communities in each market. Pina grossed over 3.5 million domestically, and was nominated for Best Feature Documentary at the Academy Awards in 2012.
